On Friday, July 26, India sailed its boat in the All Nations Parade for the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics 2024. A total of 78 members of India including athletes and officials were present.
Finally, an open boat from India entered the parade of nations on the River Seine in Paris. Badminton star PV Sindhu and table tennis player Sarath Kamal carried the Indian flag and led their Indian team of 78 athletes and officials.

Instead of a traditional parade through the stadium, some 6,800 athletes paraded 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) down Paris’ Seine River in more than 100 boats.
The opening ceremony will be held along the Seine River in Paris, starting at the Austerlitz Bridge and ending at the Trocadero in front of the Eiffel Tower.
Indian athletes are all set for a brilliant start in Paris Olympics 2024. Table tennis veteran Sarath Kamal and two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu led the way as India’s main flag bearers.
