Ground Zero: Emraan Hashmi’s New Film Struggles at the Box Office

Emraan Hashmi’s latest film, Ground Zero, had a disappointing start at the box office, earning only Rs 1 crore on its opening day. Despite receiving positive reviews from critics, the film faced stiff competition from other releases and a lack of buzz.

With just 8.63% of seats filled across theaters, Ground Zero struggled to attract viewers initially. However, the night shows saw a slight improvement with 14.06% occupancy, thanks to positive word-of-mouth from those who watched it. The film’s makers are hopeful that the weekend will bring in better numbers, as audiences begin to hear about its quality.

Ground Zero was directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar and features a strong cast that includes Sai Tamhankar, Mukesh Tiwari, and Zoya Hussain. Critics have praised its gripping storyline set against the backdrop of Kashmir, highlighting the tension and challenges faced by the characters.

Unfortunately, the film’s opening day earnings were lower than other recent releases such as Loveyapa, which made Rs 1.15 crore, and Azaad, which earned Rs 1.5 crore. The low turnout is especially concerning since Ground Zero was expected to generate more excitement due to its star cast and engaging plot.

As the weekend progresses, the filmmakers are optimistic that the positive reviews will turn into greater ticket sales, especially with upcoming films like Kesari: Chapter 2 and Raid 2 threatening to steal the spotlight.

Stay tuned to see if Ground Zero can pick up steam at the box office in the coming days!
