Dating App: A young man who went to a cafe with a young woman he met on a dating app got a huge shock. A bill of Rs.1.2 lakh was forcefully collected.

Dating App Scam:

Dating app scams are increasing day by day. It is very easy to get caught in the net and lose lakhs. A similar incident happened in Delhi. A young man who is preparing for civil services is full of trust in a young woman he met on Tinder. The young lady came to the cafe to celebrate her birthday. Both ordered cakes along with non-alcoholic drinks. She said that she will leave the place as the young lady who was fine till then was there. She believed that no one in the family was unwell and it was an emergency. The young man who wanted to pay the bill and leave got a shock. A bill of Rs 1.21 lakh was billed for four cakes and four shots of drinks. The young man opened his eyes when the bill, which used to be four to five thousand, crossed one lakh. He immediately went to the counter and had a fight with the cafe staff. There was a long argument. Finally they started threatening to kill me if I don’t pay the bill. Either the victim transfers the amount online. After that he went directly to the police station and lodged a complaint.

Four policemen immediately started the investigation. The accused was detained. After that, the whole story was known. It turned out that the young lady’s name and all the details were fake. It was learned that they all conspired and robbed the victim. 

The police immediately spied on the young woman and found her in another cafe with another boy and arrested her. It was found that the bill taken from the victim was divided by shares. However…it seems that there is another accused along with the young lady in this case. Not only in Delhi. Similar scams are happening in many key cities including Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Gangs are extorting money by targeting rich guys through dating apps. Creating fake profiles online.
